Mary Hallab is the author of The Vampire God: The Literature of Death and Immortality, forthcoming from SUNY Press. Her paintings have appeared in juried art shows across the United States and have been featured in River City magazine and Phoebe and appeared on the covers of The Connecticut Review and Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing.

Mary Hallab is Professor Emeritus of English at The University of Central Missouri and has published literary criticism in The Southern Review, Henry James Review, and other journals.
